Any excuse for a nice drink. And there
is one good excuse coming up in the glittering, emerald shape of St.
Patrick's Day. It's a day when many parts of the world go green, and
not just because of an overindulgence in Guinness. Nevertheless,
it's a certainty that plenty of the black stuff will oil the throats
of London's Irish community as they celebrate the great St. Pat.
Celebrations kick-off in Trafalgar Square on the 18 March, and there is an entire festival mix of music, movies, fun and food. I'll be there for the food .... and maybe a little drink. Now that could put a temporary dent in the training for anyone preparing for next month's London Marathon, but you can't have it every way.
