London Museums

The Natural History Museum in South Kensington. Along with the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert, these three
musuems are among the most visited in London, attracting thousands of tourists to both the permanent and special exhibits.
London has some of the most fabulous museums in the world, and while some people will fall asleep at the very word museum there are also as many people with an avid interest in all that museums have to offer. Think of the treasures to be seen in the Victoria and Albert Museum or the impressive scale of the dinosaur skeleton in the Natural History Museum. Honestly, it is hard not to be impressed.

If you come to London with the purpose and interest in seeing and perhaps spending more extended time in the museums, then South Kensington would be the area of choice to base yourself in. The simple reason is that from here you are within easy reach of three of the most popular and renowned museums in London: the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert.

Some fascinating collections are on view, and there is so much to see it can sometimes be hard to work out how on earth you can plan to reasonably get to see as much as possible while at the same time relating this to the constraints of the time available to you. But plan is the optimal word, and that is what you need to do. Short of a personal paid guide, the best resource is the websites of the various museums you intended to visit. Time spent judiciously browsing through these resources will pay off ten-fold when you actually place your feet on the museum floors in full anorak mode.

South Kensington is also an excellent area to select for your London accommodation. A choice of excellent hotels are available, and choosing one of these makes eminent good sense if two of your priorities are a great London location and a quality hotel. The third consideration must of course be price, and more of that in a moment.

It is also perfect for easy travel to other areas of the city, either by bus or Underground. The area is served by the Circle and District line and also the Piccadily line which essentially means that you can zip around the capital to all the famous sights and attractions - not forgetting all the other city museums. Another major point in its favour is that it is very convenient for transfers to Heathrow Airport. Again thanks to the Piccadilly Line which gives you direct access and hassle free travel to and from the airport.

Then there is one final bit of good news. As always here at London's Best Hotels, we have for you the latest promotions, and what we specialise in - discounts, deals and special offers for South Kensington hotels. In, fact, look through our website and that is all that you will find ..... lower prices, bargain deals and bonus offers. It is that way because we get all our offers direct from the premier hotels we feature. And if you can stay in style in South Kensington at a cheaper price, why wouldn't you?

So to sum it all up like this: London ..... South Kensingon ..... spectacular museums ..... top quality hotels ..... special offers.

I've left out the dinosaurs, but you get the idea.
